Advanced use of Yocto: The SMART package manager

Starting from BELK 3.0.1 / BXELK 1.0.0, the archive of pre-built packages belonging to openembedded-core layer is available. This allows to install on the target these packages via SMART command. This advanced tool permits to use the pre-built package archive DAVE Embedded Systems is maintaining and enlarging/enabling customers to access a wide portfolio of SW apps without any concern about Yocto recipes. UPDATED Application Note: Running Debian distribution

By default, AXEL ULite and SBC Lynx Embedded Linux Kit (XUELK) comes with a Yocto distribution. Nevertheless, other distributions can be used as well. This application note is now updated with the following hints:

Temperature range of DAVE Embedded Systems' products

DAVE Embedded Systems is working actively on the SOM market, in the Single Board Computer market and also in the custom solution market providing solutions based on Xilinx, Texas Instruments, NXP and other Silicon Vendors. All these products can be provided according to the customers' specifications and in particular according to the desired temperature range. We would like to highlight that a products declared for a specific temperature range basing it on the weakest component (such us batteries, displays, etc..). So we would like to remember all our customers to read carefully instructions and define/verify carefully the specifications. On our side we are working for improve our transparency and let you know clearly the product temp range.
