At the request of some key customers, Tallysman has developed two high gain embedded antennas: TW3870E and TW1430.
These antennas were developed specifically to work with receivers requiring higher gain, such as Trimble’s BD9xx series of receivers. The minimum gain from these antennas is 32 dB.
The TW3870E covers GPS L1/L2 + GLONASS G1/G2. This is essentially a higher gain version of the TW3865. The TW1430 covers GPS L1 + GLONASS G1. This is essentially a higher gain version of the TW1421. The TW3870E is ideal for use in RTK solutions,particularly on UAVs, where size and weight matter.
The TW1430 is ideal for use in wearable devices and UAVs because of its compact size, light weight, and high performance (strong multi-path signal rejection, excellent axial ratio, phase linear response, etc.)
These antennas indicate the importance of knowing what GNSS receiver your customer intends to use so you can recommend the appropriate antenna to conform to that receiver’s requirements.
